This old mower has been a good one but it is finally done limping along as a lawnmower. It’s now officially a go-kart. Sure, Landon can barely reach the pedal, but he drives it fairly well. Dad was over and you can see his car where they got hit outside of Weiser.

There is never a shortage of mice around the animal feed and we managed to catch these little guys in the horse trailer. Since Landon is obsessed with dinosaurs, I had been telling him that our chickens are like raptors, which of course he didn’t believe. To prove my point we tossed the mice into the chickens’ pen. With fury, the chickens attacked and gobbled up the mice, just like raptors. Object lessons and entertainment you can only find on a farm.

When we got to Texas Roadhouse we found out it was family night and they had a guy going around making balloon animals for the kids. He asked each of them a few questions and then confirmed what they would like him to create. They variety was impressive and the kids enjoyed it. You’ll notice there’s Perception Tribe SOT kayak on the top of our Suburban, this was a boat that Drake wanted to buy and we picked it up at Sportsman’s Warehouse for $400. Drake’s portion was $200.

We put in a lot of time but it was great to see all of the light towers up, ready for final testing.

We tried to find a few scorpions while the family was down here but it was still too cold for them to be out. With it getting hot, we saw several. It’s crazy how they light up under black light.

The day I got back from AZ, I was exhausted. Kim surprised me when when she picked me up from the airport. She had lined up a time share in snowy McCall for just the two of us and we heading there that evening. The next day we retrieved the kids and took them to the winter carnival. It was a much needed break and the cold was a wonderful respite from the rising Arizona heat.

Steve still needed additional operations help back at Solight. So he invited me back down to help manage the manufacturing but more importantly develop and document a manufacturing plan. This was a longer trip from 1/12-27 with longer hours, 12-14 hours a day, Monday – Saturday. On the way down I was able to enjoy the lights of Las Vegas and and spectacular Grand Canyon on the way home.
